EDHREC top commanders

EDHREC ranks commanders by deck count in its own database. That list changes as players publish new decks. The names here are the ones people search beside the word EDHREC, including the 2025 set legends.

Names from recent sets

Final Fantasy, Avatar, Spider-Man, Edge of Eternities, Lorwyn Eclipsed, and Secret Lair printings are why these legends show up as their own searches. Open the guide for the color identity, then the EDHREC link on that page for the current deck count.

Names that stayed in the searches

These commanders were already established before the 2025 Universes Beyond wave. Glarb is from Bloomburrow in 2024. The others go back further, and players still look them up by name. Their deck-count rank is on EDHREC, not in the order of this grid.

Questions

How does EDHREC rank top commanders?

EDHREC orders commanders by how many decklists in its database use that card as the commander. The order moves when a new set is published and players upload lists. This page does not reprint that live ranking.

What does EDHREC top commanders 2025 refer to?

Searches that add a year are usually looking for the legends from that year's sets. Final Fantasy, Edge of Eternities, Marvel's Spider-Man, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Secret Lair drops account for several of the names below.

Why are older commanders still listed?

Edgar Markov, Atraxa, Yuriko, The Ur-Dragon, and Korvold still draw name searches beside EDHREC. A new set does not delete a commander page. Deck count on EDHREC is what decides whether they are still near the top.
