Food on every artifact

Artifacts you control are Foods in addition to their other types. They gain '{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 3 life.' Ragost's own ability is {1}, {T}, sacrifice a Food: he deals 3 damage to each opponent. At each end step, if you gained life this turn, untap Ragost.

The life gain can come from the Food ability he grants, which both pays the untap condition and spends an artifact. Treasure, clues, and ordinary artifacts all become legal Foods while you control them. Sacrificing one for his damage trigger hits every opponent for 3, which is life loss from damage, not commander damage, unless the damage is combat damage. This ability is not combat damage.

A low mana value changes the EDHREC list

At mana value 2 he is castable early, and the commander tax still adds {2} each time you cast him again from the command zone. Public lists lean on cheap artifacts because every artifact is fuel. A card's inclusion rate on his page is agreement among those Boros artifact lists, not a license to splash blue.
